On June 18, 2026, Ding Zhongli, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC), headed a research group to Jilin Province for special research focused on sci-tech innovation and green energy development. The group paid an on-site visit to CNTY’s Songyuan Integrated Hydrogen-derivatives Energy Project to learn full details about its construction progress. Leading officials from Jilin Provincial Government and Songyuan Municipal Government, alongside Yang Jing, Vice President of CNTY, Executive Group Leader of the Hydrogen Energy Industry Leading Group and Chief Commander of the Songyuan Project, accompanied the inspection.
The Songyuan Project constitutes a core component of CNTY’s dual-drive strategy of “environmental protection + new energy”. Situated on the Songnen Plain, the project leverages Songyuan’s abundant wind and solar resources and stable, reliable biomass. Its Phase I is designed with an annual output of 100,000 tons of green methanol, adopting a technical route of wind power direct supply for hydrogen production – biomass combustion for carbon supply – methanol synthesis, forming a full industrial chain spanning green electricity, green fuels and green chemical products.
During the inspection, Ding fully recognized the project’s overall plan and technical roadmap. He stressed that all stakeholders should further shoulder responsibilities, strengthen coordination, smooth channels for industry-university-research-application integration, and improve institutional safeguards to support comprehensive innovation. With a keen sense of urgency, the project shall translate technological and ecological advantages into competitive edges for development, and deliver tangible achievements in fostering new quality productive forces and safeguarding national energy security.
CNTY was greatly encouraged by the inspection. The company will steadily push forward the construction of the Songyuan Project, continuously boost technological innovation capacity, and contribute its share to building an independent new type of energy system and advancing the national Dual Carbon Goals.
